when a boy tells you stories about how his mom doesn't want him to have a girlfriend, or his dad, or his friends, or his brother, is that just a round about way to say he doesn't want a girlfriend? come on dude, i got the picture. no one wants you to have a girlfriend, not even you, and i understand that. did i ever say that i absolutely had to be your girlfriend or i would just curl up in a corner and cry myself to sleep? uhh NO. i'm not the kind of girl that's all boys all the time. i'm an independent young woman who doesn't need the title of "girlfriend & boyfriend." so please, i'm begging you, don't bring up another person who is telling you that you shouldn't have a girlfriend. i heard it once, i heard it twice, i've heard it multiple times and I KNOW what you're trying to tell me. i got it, do you?
*anybody else realize how many times i used the word girlfriend?...muwahahaa like a kajillion

So today I was typing in our lovely blog url so that i could stock my friends that i already talk to every day. but I accidentally forgot the "s" in manhaters, and welp, this other oh-so-lovely other blog popped up. It scared me with all the profanities it had in its title, description, and two whole posts it had. Lets just say that it had more curse words than I could count in a day. So ladies, a few words of advice. DON'T FORGET THE "S".

If I've learned anything from high school it's that I am truly happiest when I am being myself. In a school of over a thousand girl I tend to be overly critical of myself. Often I see other girls who are prettier, more athletic, smarter, thinner, funnier or more musical than I am and it's easy to get discouraged. Everyday I have to accept the fact that boys like my best friend more than me but really, that's okay. I may not be who all the guys want, but it's no use for me to try to be something I'm not. I'm not going to try to conform to some idea of a perfect girl because thats not who I am! God didn't make me my best friend for a reason- he made me to be me. Each person has something different to offer and trying to be just like someone else isn't the way to do it. So if a boy ever says to you, "I wish you were more like _______" just know he obviously doesn't appreciate you for the great person you are! Do me a favor girls, and love the skin you're in! Don't ever feel inferior to anyone because someday, someone will love you for YOU.
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." -Eleanor Roosevelt

So something that i don't understand in a boy (yep a boy not a man, cause as of right now, i'm pretty sure that's all that exist) is that they want to be around you and hang out and be friends, but they always expect us women to put in the effort and plan stuff. But if it isn't up to "par" for them, they're like ope screw it, we have other slutty girls to hang out with. yeah i just don't understand (and don't tell me to think like a boy, cause they only think with one thing, and I wasn't born with that part). welp thats my rant. please feel free to politely comment and tell me as to why this is. k thanks.

So today I was playing with my cousin who is 5 years old. And we were playing with some dolls and I asked her if she liked any boys in her preschool class. She looked up at me, with the most priceless face on, in complete shock that I would even ask such a question, and in all seriousness she answered, "Ewww!! Of course I don't like any boys! They have coodies!!" and looked right back down and started playing with her dolls again. She is my girl!! I have taught her well! I got a good laugh about it. Ohh the joys of being so young. I hope she will always rememeber boys have coodies!
