If I've learned anything from high school it's that I am truly happiest when I am being myself. In a school of over a thousand girl I tend to be overly critical of myself. Often I see other girls who are prettier, more athletic, smarter, thinner, funnier or more musical than I am and it's easy to get discouraged. Everyday I have to accept the fact that boys like my best friend more than me but really, that's okay. I may not be who all the guys want, but it's no use for me to try to be something I'm not. I'm not going to try to conform to some idea of a perfect girl because thats not who I am! God didn't make me my best friend for a reason- he made me to be me. Each person has something different to offer and trying to be just like someone else isn't the way to do it. So if a boy ever says to you, "I wish you were more like _______" just know he obviously doesn't appreciate you for the great person you are! Do me a favor girls, and love the skin you're in!  Don't ever feel inferior to anyone because someday, someone will love you for YOU.
